For the past two years, we have been curating a collection of works that reflect our esthetic. We've been identifying artists which with whom we connect and admire. And in these past few years, we've had the honor to represent Ali Launer of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Skulls of noble animals adorned with precious and semi-precious stones, Balinese silver and glass beads, all in geometric composition, are reminiscent of Huichol art of Jalisco and Nayarit, Mexico. Some are embellished with leather or reptile skins. Ali works in brilliant colors as well as soft, muted earth tones. Dramatic shadows are cast upon the walls with the day's changing light. Each piece, taking anywhere from 15 to 30 hours to complete, possesses a stand-alone presence.
